I have always dreamed of running a children’s musical theatre company even as a kid myself. But “real” life often gets in the way. The last few years provided unexpected ups and downs but in 2012 all the pieces fell into place to make this dream a reality. It is crazy to think that one year ago, I was only teaching my weekly Saturday and Sunday classes at Stagecoach. Being offered the chance to teach Music & Movement at Hillcrest was a new start for me. Never in my wildest dreams did I think that I could make a living doing what I love.
There is an interesting video circling around these days called “What if money didn’t matter?” What would you do? I chose to take a chance and give it my best shot – and it paid off. But it is primarily thanks to the parents and students who chose to participate in my programs and give me the opportunity to teach. I am forever grateful for your continued support. To remember what an incredible year of teaching it has been, I am posting a daily photo of the “Shining Moments” of Vancouver Performing Stars. Thank you for being a part of this incredible journey.
