What a treasure VPS is. I can only imagine how much work goes into this - so from the bottom of my heart, a huge thank you to the instructors who really share their enthusiasm and love of the arts. What wonderful role models for our children.

I just wanted to congratulate the entire team on a jam packed few days filled with amazing performances. Such a crazy year full of unknowns, but all of you pulled it off and my girls always looked forward to coming to VPS every week. Thank you again for all the energy and creativity that goes into making our little stars shine!

I just wanted to pass on a huge thanks for today. As a child who has never really done any dance before, being able to dance in today’s parade was epic for her. I thought she would feel nervous or shy - she wasn’t. She was excited. Everything from wearing the costume, practicing, and the event itself - I saw my 7 year old grow into a confident young kid. She’s looking forward to more dance classes in the future.

We are so impressed with Katy's leadership, her artistic and business vision, and her true love and passion for children in performance arts. Our daughter has participated in the annual VPS musical theatre production since VPS's early days. Katy draws out the best of our daughter's talents and over the years, has helped her to see and know the best of herself as a person. As parents, we are so grateful for Katy and Vancouver Performing Stars.

We can't thank you enough for such a well organized and heartfelt performance! My daughter was in the Junior Ballet class at Hillcrest and enjoyed both the classes and the performance opportunity so very much. This was her first dance class and performance and we'll definitely be signing her up for more.

You have created such a positive and nurturing environment, but at that same time, a challenging environment where you have an expectation that encourages the children to rise to the occasion!

Katy! Thank you for pouring all of your heart and soul into nurturing these kids into amazing performers. Our daughter adored her time up on stage and likely has gotten the musical bug. We really appreciate you reaching out and asking her to perform. I saw all three performances and enjoyed each one immensely.

Thank you so much for your amazing work with the musical. We had no idea what to expect from this experience and we enjoyed it 100%! Congratulations on another successful show! The last 4 years with you has really made an impact to helping our daughter come out of her shell. It’s because of your program that she will be the starring role in her school musical this year.

You bring the best out of my girl every year and you have become such a big and constant part of her life. Thank you so much for what you do. Spending time backstage with this bunch of kids, I saw them being proud of themselves, they know that you trust them to be their best and they have become such good friends and supporters of each other.

I just wanted to thank you for the opportunity to see the fabulous play yesterday! It was so great to see those lovely young actors shine. Thank you for all of the time and love you put into helping to develop the confidence and skill in all these young humans...it is so important in so many ways and you have a bigger impact on their lives than you know!

Just remembering all the arts companies we’ve tried through the years – it’s a good reminder of why you have shot up with success, Katy. Not only are you talented and creative and loved by children, but you have a great staff, high quality in everything you do, you are super organized and level headed and VPS means excellence and professionalism all round, while preserving the fun and delight of children. I am not understating this in saying you are exceptional in this world in Vancouver. I feel like I’ve tried practically everyone through the years at varying points. We stopped at VPS.

I wanted to compliment and thank VPS for running a great dance program. My daughter loves attending class every week. The teachers are amazing!

Just wanted to thank you for doing such an amazing job with the girls. I loved the performances on Friday and was so impressed! I love your choreography, it's amazing how many beautiful dances you were able to put together. Thanks again for being so dedicated, patient and wonderful with all the girls. Thanks for a wonderful year of musical theatre. My daughter loved attending VPS each Tuesday and experiencing performing in a real theatre. She spent the weeks singing and dancing in her room and obviously loved bringing the class experience home with her.

My daughter really enjoyed the VPS musical program this year. The year end performance by the young stars was fantastic! She was in the Starlights group and had so much fun. She loved the opportunity to rehearse at both the studio and at the Stanley theatre and then to actually perform there - how amazing! We so appreciate all the hard work, time, and dedication that the teachers and performers put in over the year to produce such a great show.

Our daughter has loved every program she has taken with Performing Stars and she still remembers the Nutcrackers at the Rothstein Theatre and the Christmas Parade. Performing Stars has been an important and valuable piece of her extracurricular activities and enjoyments! Thank you to you, Rebecca and the many teachers over the years.

My daughter looks forward to going to VPS every week. It has built her confidence on and off the stage. It has given her great work ethic and expanded her creativity. We have a countdown till the year end show and everyone in our household cannot wait!

I just wanted to thank you for the kind and incredibly positive environment you have created in your classes. My daughter had a rough day today and when I saw her after your class this evening, the bad day had disappeared and she was so happy! She is just loving it! So thank you!
