The VPS Academy Program is for children who want to train intensively in the performing arts. This program allows your child more individualized training to help hone their skills and confidence. Students will be assigned to a group of 10 for one full day of training every week, on Wednesdays or Thursdays from 9:30am-3:30pm. Your child will stay with their assigned group for the duration of the year which runs a total of 30 weeks over 3 terms. Should another wave of Covid-19 prevent us from meeting safely we will continue rehearsals online until it is safe to resume rehearsals in the studio.

By enrolling in this program, you acknowledge and accept that no credits or refunds will be issued in the event that programs have to be moved online.

The Program includes 6 hrs a week of:

•Private Voice Lessons

•Ballet, Jazz, Tap, Contemporary and Hip Hop

•Music Theory and Sight Reading

•Drama and Acting for Theatre and Film

•Theatre Design, Production and Playwriting Workshops

In order to participate in the Academy Program, your child will need to be homeschooled, enrolled in VSB Online Learning or receive permission from your school’s principal that they feel your child would be able to handle this training along with their school work. This is a year long Sept-June commitment and all guardians and students accepted into the program will be required to sign a commitment letter outlining the expectations prior to enrolment.
