AUDITIONS

VPS Nutcracker: The Musical brings a fresh, contemporary spin to the beloved holiday classic.

Join us on September 8th from 4-6pm for Nutcracker Core Cast auditions open to performers ages 8 and up. Selected core cast members will play lead roles in our December production, supported by Vancouver Performing Stars Starjump Academy and year-long classes.

  • Rehearsals: Thursdays 3:45-4:45pm (September 18 - December 4)

  • Registration fee: $75 (if selected)

  • Audition preparation:

    • 1 Christmas-themed monologue or poem (up to 1 minute)

    • Two 30-second songs (pop or musical theatre)

VanPlay Aspire Gala Cast Auditions will be held September 8th and 15th from 6-7pm. Rehearsals run Mondays 6-7pm from September 22 through February 28, with the Aspire Gala taking place on February 28th, 2026.
